1. What is WeeklyShow?
A: WeeklyShow is a smart movie and series discovery app that finds what to watch based on your available time, preferred tone, and streaming subscriptions. Think of it as a personal cinema concierge for busy professionals.

2. How are recommendations personalized?
A: You set your preferences — how much time you have (30–180+ min), the mood you're in (Feel-Good to Terror), which streaming services you subscribe to (Netflix, HBO Max, Disney+, and 15+ others), and an optional age filter. WeeklyShow then scores shows from the TVmaze catalogue using rating, recency, platform match, and tone intensity to deliver your top 5 picks.

3. Does it pull data from real streaming libraries?
A: It uses the TVmaze API to fetch show metadata, ratings, cast, and schedules — not your personal streaming history. Recommendations are based on the platform availability we can detect (web channels, networks) mapped to known streaming services.

4. Can I launch a show directly from the app?
A: Yes. Tap "Watch Now" on any recommendation, and WeeklyShow tries to open the streaming app directly (e.g. Netflix, Prime Video, Max). If the app isn't installed, it falls back to the web version or the App Store page.

5. Is my data saved or shared?
A: All your preferences (time, tone, streaming list, age filter) are stored locally on your device using UserDefaults. Nothing is sent to a server or shared with third parties.

6. How is WeeklyShow different from Netflix or other streaming apps?
A: Streaming apps only show you content inside their own library. WeeklyShow works across all your subscriptions at once — Netflix, HBO Max, Disney+, Apple TV+, Prime Video, and more — so you get the best pick regardless of platform, not the one a single service wants you to watch.

7. Why do you only recommend recent shows?
A: WeeklyShow pulls episodes from the last 15 days only, so you're always seeing fresh, current content — not the same old catalog titles that every other app pushes. If there's new buzz around a show, it'll be in your recommendations.

8. How do you ensure quality recommendations?
A: We automatically filter out any show rated below 6/10. Every pick you see has solid critical and audience scores, so you're never wasting time on low-quality content. Combined with our tone and time filters, you get a meaningful shortlist, not a noise-filled feed.

9. Can I use WeeklyShow if I share accounts with family?
A: Yes. The demographic filter (<12, Teen, >18) and tone slider help you narrow down content that fits the room. Whether it's a solo movie night or family viewing, the app adapts to who's watching.

10. Does WeeklyShow help me discover hidden gems outside the mainstream?
A: Absolutely. The TVmaze catalogue covers international and European titles too, not just Hollywood blockbusters. Our recommendation engine scores by rating and recency, not by marketing budget, so great shows from smaller networks have an equal shot at your top 5.
